Hey all.

recently the chance for me to review Dot & Dot Large packing cubes came along and I was/am happy I got too. I along with many of you I sure have crafting supplies for making different things, such as ribbon tissue paper or even scrapbooking supplies well I kept mine in paper shopping bags stuffed in a cubby hole between my nightstand and my desk. It was cluttered and just a plain eyesore. Well I am very happy to say it is not that way anymore because I put it all in these great organizer bags.

 

 

 

one of the things I like most about  is the mesh on them so that I can easily see what is in them. Another thing is they don’t take up to much space when stacked and I love how vibrint the color is.

There has been a lot of DRAMA surrounding the Blue Velveteen subscription box. It started as a box that looked like it may rival Birchbox in its theme and price.

After some initial issues, a lot of people (including a bunch of bloggers) received a September box and were cautiously optimistic about the box.

However, I can say with all certainty that the optimism is gone now. It seems like the lady that started Blue Velveteen has shut down communication on all social media sites and has essentially stolen people’s money.

Needless to say, people are PISSED. I never signed up for this box but I had heard of communication issues with the company the past few weeks so I had been paying attention. Braun No touch + forehead thermometer

I am a member of Influenster.com in short is a site kind of like Smiley360 that will send you product absolutely free (to those that qualify in exchange for you 100% honest review.

Influenster has what are known as Vox boxes and Vox boxes can contain 1 product or a few different products. I recently qualified for the New Braun No touch + forehead thermometer Vox box.

I have not (thank goodness) had to use it in a real fever type situation but I have played with it a bit, and with flu season approaching am glad I have now. I really like it and it is super easy to use (and very light weight) as I have demonstrated here in this How to use the Braun no touch + forehead thermometer YouTube video. One of the things I love is that you could use it when you child is sleeping, without disturbing them. I have had to wake my 6-year-old many times at night, in the past due to his fevers getting really high. With this there will be no more having to wake him unless he really needs to be takin to the Dr. Another nice thing is that it reads very quickly, so more begging your child to sit still.

Inside the box you get the Braun thermometer, 2 batteries, a quick start guide and an instruction booklet.

It also seems to me to be accurate or at least consistent. I tested it out on my fiancé, my mother, both my children, and myself and our temps were all reading about the same temperature each time on each person. Shamefully I did not own a reliable thermometer to test it against so I compared consistency and it was very consistent.

NEW ChapStick® dual-ended Hydration Lock

 

I am a member of Smiley360. What is Smiley360? you might ask well it is a website that will send you products (that you qualify for) absolutely free for you to try. Then after you try it you have tasks to do. Such as review it on Facebook, twitter or instagram or do a blog post if you have one.

Well a few weeks ago I qualified for chapsticks NEW ChapStick® dual-ended Hydration Lock chapstick. I am a bit of a lip balm junkie as you can tell from the picture above. I have gotten some of them through sub boxes, some were givin to me and others I have found for a really good deal.

Now someone might wonder, why would you want so many lip balms? The answer for me is it has to do with the mood I’m in. Different ones do different things and have different flavors, like sometimes I’m in the mood for one with a little minty bite and other times I want a fruity flavor or maybe a little color, but lately I have found myself reaching for my new ChapStick .

It is made with 2 sides. One is renew made with replenishing plant butters like Shea and Mango and the other is moistureize and has antioxidants such as CoQ10 and vitamin E. For me I have noticed that the renew side is little thicker (but not waxy), and I tend to use that side is the morning. The other side Moisturize is a bit more has a well um moisturizing aspect to it and I have been using it throughout the day. For me it tends to last for about 2-3 hours then I have to reapply. So it’s got pretty good staying power. I also find that even when I have not put any on for awhile my lips feel a lot less dry then before I started using it. The only downside for me is I normally like a little scent or flavor to my lip balms and this one doesn’t have one that I notice, but other then that it is fantastic. I give it 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. What to do with chalkboard stickers

Supplies needed:

A glass candle holder or some other glass container.

Chalkboard stickers (you can get some on amazon HERE)

chalk

Optional:

A  flathead screwdriver or orange peeler (if you need to remove candle wax)

one of the flat ribbon type hair ties

Decorative rocks

IMPORTANT : I you have to remove candle wax put it in you freezer for at least 24 hours, it makes the removal so much easier

 

 

 

1. Take your candle out of the freezer.

2. Then carefully stick you flathead screwdriver or orange peeler between the candle wax and the glass. Gently wiggle it back and forth until the wax pops free.

3. Peel off any labels if you need to. Wash any remaining wax off of your candle jar.

 

 

4. After you have washed and dried your candle holder you can place your chalkboard labels onto the spot you want them to be.

5. Stretch the flat ribbon hair tie around the bottom and put it where you would like it to be. I placed mine below the sticker shown in the first  top and bottom pictures below.

6. Now you can fill  it with whatever you would like to.

There are many things things you can fill these with and some ideas are:

pens, paper clips, make-up brushes, beauty tools, lip gloss, lipsticks, candy, cotton balls, box tops (boxtops4education) while your collecting them, beads, a tiny sewing kit, Band-Aids, pany liners, and tampons for you bathroom sink.

or you could use them to give small gifts in at Christmas maybe cookies, chocolate dipped pretzels or home made body scrubs.

AlphaHealthy Probiotics

I was given the opportunity to try AlphaHealthy Probiotics and I have been taking them for about a 2 weeks now and to be honest don’t notice much a difference. Other then the fact that maybe my acne breakout that I have been battling has been calming down a bit quicker than normal. However I really have not been taking them long enough to know weather they are doing much more yet. How Probiotics work: (in short) They work by Balancing the good microorganisms, with the not so good ones thet are in the intestines and seem to help the bodies immunity with fighting off certain things.

from what I have read on a few different websites there are very few side effects from taking probiotics. However some may cause gas and bloating, but decreasing the dosage or taking them every other day may help with that.

Probiotics can be used with certain antibiotics to decrease the risk of diarrhea that some may cause, but talk to you Dr. to avoid any interactions if you are taking anything else.

September 2014 Love With Food but really Gluten Free August box

 

Hi everyone

Last month I had gotten an offer from Love with Food to get a free box. So I ordered it and was excited to be able to unbox it for you.

well the box got shipped out and delivered, only I was not the one who it was delivered to. I e-mailed Love with Food to let them know I had not gotten the box yet. Well they said they had run out of September boxes but offered me a August Gluten Free box instead. I thought that would be cool because I have not seen as many Gluten-Free unboxing’s of Love with Food as I have the regular boxes.

So here we go in the box

x2 dang – toasted coconut chips 1.43 oz.  These were the first item from the box that I ate and holy cow they are awesome the bags are 1.43 oz each and have a value of 1.62 per oz if you bought the 12 pack on Amazon

x2 180 – Nutty Rice Bites [dry roasted] with blueberries they are .62 oz. each and the 2 packs have a value of $2.98. These were the second thing I ate out of the box. Honestly for me they could be a good replacement  for some of the sugary not so good for me things I eat sometimes.

Jules – Cookies mix JulesGlutenFree.com the 1.3 lb. box makes about 60 Cookies and is a value of $9.95. I read on the website that you can add whatever you want as far as nuts and chocolate chips to these cookies which I like because you can just keep these on hand then add whatever you need to. However for myself $9.95 is a bit much for a box of cookie mix.

Terra-Real Vegetable chip and the flavor is Sweet and Beets  they are 1.5 oz. and have a value of $2.55 I ate these too. I liked them a lot I wish they had a bit of a salty flavor to them but they are really good.

Bumblebar- Juno Apple Crisp Bar 1.6 oz.  it has a value of $2.69 This tasted ok not my favorite but if someone gave one to me I would eat it again. I love that it has 5g of Protein though

Lundburg – Multi-grain chips in Redwood Smokey BBQ 1.5 oz which has an approximate value of 3.15 per bag. These were ok again not the worst thing I’ve eaten but I probably would not but them. On this I am including the product link so you can locate them, if you are interested and to do that scoll all the way to the bottom of the page and I included the amazon link as well.

x 5 Yummy Earth – Organic suckers they have a value of .19 cents each so times that by 5 and I have .95 cents worth. I have had the Blueberry one and it was really good this I may purchase in the future

ginny – minis butter crisp love 1.25 oz. there value is 1.08 I haven’t eaten these yet but I love butter cookies so I think I will enjoy them.

Boulder Granola – Original 3 oz snack size. and has a vale of 2.70 I have had this yet either but the bag is a pretty good size I may try and find a cookie recipe to use it in.

So I think it was a pretty good box the price of the Gluten-Free box is is $25.00 a month and the value of this box is $29.29. You don’t come out hugly ahaead but you don’t have to pay a whole lot for some huge price for a bag or box of something and discover that you don’t like it.

Love with food is a big win for me I think I may get a monthly Tasting box for awhile. I want to start snacking on healthier things and this is a great way to find snacks and not waste money on ones I don’t like.
